Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Lyte Technologies ("we", "us"), operator of LyteTech Connect, collects when you use our WiFi service and website, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

What we collect

Your phone number: the Mobile Money number you pay with, which is also how we keep track of your balance.
Your device's network address (MAC address): so our equipment can let your device online and count the data it uses.
Usage records: how much data each device uses and when, kept in 5-minute blocks.
Payment records: the amount, the product, the payment reference and whether it succeeded, as returned by our payment processor. We never receive or store your Mobile Money PIN.
Basic technical logs: such as the time and address of visits to our sign-in page, used to keep the service running and secure.

We do not read the content of what you browse, and we do not sell your information.

Why we use it

To connect your device and keep your data balance correct.
To process payments and resolve payment problems.
To answer your questions and complaints.
To protect the service from fraud and misuse.
To meet our legal and accounting obligations.

Who we share it with

Paystack, which processes Mobile Money payments for us, under its own privacy policy.
Ubiquiti (UniFi), whose network equipment and management service run our WiFi.
Authorities, only where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Usage records are kept for 90 days, so that questions about a charge can be answered with evidence. Payment records are kept for as long as accounting and tax law requires. Other logs are kept only as long as needed to run the service.

Your rights

Under Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843), you can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we no longer need it. Contact us on 0544865714 or lytecodes@gmail.com. We will reply within 14 days.

Keeping it safe

Your information is kept on secured servers, and access is limited to the people who run the service.

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
